Tatiana Macedo
Lisbon, 1981
With a 20-year creative career, Tatiana Macedo's work is characterized by challenging what we understand as photography, cinema, painting, sculpture, dance, or performance, in the way she composes images, sounds, environments, and narrative rhythms that project her images of reality to constitute themselves as realities of the image, essayistic reflection, or fiction. In the artist's words, "Photography and Cinema are as much about what they reveal as what they hide. Drawing an analogy with sound, one could say that Photography and Cinema exist in the intervals of silence." All the senses are expanded in the artist's work; we feel the times, the tension of small gestures, and the touch of her images.
