Another year and a new trip to the Open Air Amphitheater of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, for another Jazz em Agosto edition, to be more exact, the 34th. Opening honors are Steve Lehman’s responsibility, at a cross between jazz and hip-hop. Today, 31 July the long awaited return of Peter Brotzmann accompanied, this time, by Heather Leigh. Also noteworthy for Susana Santos Silva, on August 1, and Pedro Sousa & Pedro Lopes, on August 05. More than deserved reference should be given to the presentation of the book Life Is a Simple Mess by Travassos and Nate Wooley, a joint edition of Chili Com Carne with Shhpuma.
